Welcome to Planet Tom. Tom Smith is well known for his unique and extraordinary talent in playing guitar and banjo. The Nashville Tennessean calls him an "Acoustic Guitar Virtuoso" while the Nashville City Paper says, "One of the nation's premier guitarists... 'Juliet's Window'... a masterpiece." And in Nashville, the home of some of the best players in the world, that's saying something. It's been said that Smith could be referred to as a mixture of Kaki King, Michael Hedges, Ralph Towner and Leo Kottke but that would be too limiting. Tom has shared the stage with Tuck & Patti, John Hammond, Jr., John Fahey, Michael Hedges, Robben Ford, Jesse Winchester, Todd Phillips, Livingston Taylor, Melanie, David Pomeroy, Reckless Johnny Wales, Odetta, and Dave Van Ronk.
